Rattlesnake 1782

 It is said that John Peck from Boston design Rattlesnake, and it was built in Plymouth, Massachusetts. In different periods, it loaded with 14 to 20 cannons, 85 staff on it, and the captain is Mark Clark. In order to achieve higher speed, the ship is quite light with an extremely sharp bow, the front deck and the back deck are seperated, and the two are connected by portable channels. In June, 1781, Rattlesnake is in its patrol in Amercian beach, unfortunately it was captured by HMS Assurance (English Royal Navy), later it was transformed into HMS Cormorant with 18 cannons and 125 staff.
